Business Brief – Grant Park Pool

The Grant Park pool is a great opportunity for families living in Grant Park, however, most families that I’ve met around my neighborhood never go there. The unfortunate thing about this pool as that in the middle of the day, during the week, it is free for a few hours.  This deters families from buying a membership or even from going during the time when it is free because the people who go there are mostly people without jobs, who come to the pool because they have nothing else to do.  They usually bring a lot of friends with them, and get loud tend to make the entire pool become crowded. This makes the ideal pool attendees, like a stay-at-home mom and her children, not want to come.  A family is looking for a fun thing to do on a weekday during summer vacation and because of the large crowds of low-life adults, families rule this option out for cheap, summer fun.  Another negative is that these people often don’t even live in Grant Park, but more likely People’s Town, as you can see them all getting on and off the same bus when the free time begins and when it ends, and that bus goes through People’s Town, the neighborhood adjacent to Grant Park.  My goal, since I cannot change the rules of the pool, or the way they are running things, would be to create a new design aspect that would cater to Grant Park members, especially families with kids.  I would like to create a fun, family-friendly logo with summery and child-like colors.  Obviously blue would be in the palette because it gives off a feelings of refreshing water, which is a great selling point on a summer day in Hotlanta.  I want the font to seem buoyant and fun, so probably something more bubbly or thick.
